Under 11 & 12 Formats - July 27, 2010
The Football Federation SA sent to all Junior Premier League clubs last season information regarding the format for Under 11 age group for season 2011 which will form part of Small Sided Football (SSF).
This will complete the final step for Football Federation SA in implementing Small Sided Football into the Junior Premier League.
The Under 12 format will continue to be 11-a-side, there will not be any changes made to this format as SSF is Under 6 to U11 only as per the direction of Football Federation Australia.
Under 12 competition format will be similar to current season with Men’s League clubs (Super, Premier and State) split into three geographical zones (South, North Central) in Junior Premier League (with only one team per club), with Men’s League club’s multiple teams and clubs not in the Men’s League competition will field teams in Junior State League which will also be split geographically. The Under 12 competitions will continue to be a grading age group for Under 13 the following season.
